ECO Awarded DHCD Planning Grant!
It all began with an idea.
And for the Edmondson Community Organization (ECO) - the longtime (30+ years) Midtown-Edmondson community leader - the issue was always that every government entity kept saying that they can’t really do anything highly-constructive to grow development there - at in a big, way - until there’s a recent (<5 years-old) master plan in place. So the ECO set about to write one.
They submitted an application to the Baltimore City’s Department of Housing and Community Development, successfully received an award and got started. Many huddles with the Department of Planning later, and with a Community Advisory Board in place, the Midtown-Edmondson MARC Station Area Master Plan was ready to kick off with public work.
