Community Advisory Board Established

One of the hardest - but most important - steps in conducting a COMMUNITY-DIRECTED master planning exercise is the ensure that you have the right Community Advisory Board in place to guide the process and ensure multiple stakeholder buy-in. The Edmondson Community Organization (ECO) has been around a long time in Midtown-Edmondson (30+ years) and knew everyone in community, but still you had to convince super busy people to commit their valuable time. Midtown-Edmondson is lucky - we’ve got folks who care, and who want to see comprehensive, equitable revitalization now.

Residents, business leaders, faith leaders, community advisors, major property owners… a tremendous board was established and met first on November 28th to kick-off the planning for the planning process.
